News from the Votemaster

Not much news today. One poll from New York that confirms what we all knew: Kerry is way ahead in New York.

But I have a fun item today. I was curious whether college students are interested in this election, so I wrote a script to mine the log and count the number of hits to .html pages on this site that came from .edu domains. This metric does not distinguish students from faculty members, nor does it distinguish one student reading 60 pages from 60 students each reading one page. Still it is interesting. Harvard beats Yale. Berkeley beats Stanford. MIT beats Caltech. Here are the full results. The data covers the period June 1, 2004 to July 18, 2004 at 4 a.m. EDT.
