Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!

We were planning, as announced yesterday, to have a reguler posting today. However, we got a deluge of e-mails that raised two points. First, many readers are concerned about us burning out, and urged us to take a more aggressive break than the one we planned. Second, some readers pointed out that the readers themselves could use a break, and that if we post stuff, folks will feel the need to read it.

For these reasons, we are going to cancel the plans for a post today, and go dark for three days. We WILL have weekend postings, however.

Let us also take this opportunity to thank the readers for supporting the site—it truly is an honor and a privilege, and we are grateful every day.
