News from the Votemaster

R.I.P. for Tom Vilsack's presidential campaign (born Nov. 9, 2006, died Feb 23, 2007). It lasted less than four months. He couldn't raise any money. Surprise. So he withdrew yesterday. Joe Biden is probably next and Chris Dodd after that. While Dennis Kucinich has exactly zero chance of getting the Democratic nomination, he probably will stay in. He's in the race to make a point and speak his mind; Vilsack had no particular ideology and thought some magic fairy might sprinkle pixie dust on him and make him President. It didn't happen and it won't for Biden and Dodd, either.

This page is the prototype for 2008. The data and map will refer to previous elections until serious polls begin in 2008. The blog will be updated when there is interesting news about the 2008 races.

Preview of the 2008 races:           President       Senate       House
