Political Insider,
the companion site to Politicalwire, has a nice
story on potential retirements in the House. There will be 51 representatives aged 70 or more on election day 2008.
Undoubtedly some of these will call it quits, leaving a contested open seat behind. Some districts are
so partisan than party control is unlikely to switch, but a President with strong coattails could pull in
some representatives even in districts that normally go for the other party.
This page is the prototype for 2008. The data and map will refer to previous
elections until serious polls begin in 2008. The blog will be updated when
there is interesting news about the 2008 races.
