New polls: GA
Dem pickups: AK ME NC OH TX
GOP pickups: (None)

Sigh.

Yesterday's post was done in, in part, by tech issues. But, truth be told, there were also health issues. While everyone contributes to the weekend post, (Z) is the glue. And (Z) is still trying to get over being ill. After 4-5 days of getting better, Friday was worse and Saturday was worse still.

This is not the first time this pattern has happened—not by a long shot. Get to 85% or 90%, return to 100% of usual activity, and then the respiratory infection lingers on and on and on.

The weekday posts, and teaching classes, are the two more important things, and it's really problematic if either of those has to be canceled. The weekend posts are more of a luxury. And so, we are going to have to cancel today, just to give (Z) some time to rest, and to protect the regular-week posts/classes. This is especially critical in the weeks leading up to a major election.

Until (Z) is 100%, the weekend posts will have to be considered tentative. That said, we'll work in some of the missing material during the regular week.

Thanks for understanding.

Today's Senate Polls

There has yet to be a poll, even the ones from partisan houses, where Mike Collins has led. These days, the polls where Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) leads by double digits are more common than the polls where he leads by only single digits. The only place where the race is still described as a "toss up" is... Ossoff's ActBlue fundraising page. Anything is possible, but if you're looking for the profile of a candidate whose goose is cooked, Collins would be a pretty good pick. Michael Whatley in North Carolina, too. (Z)
