New polls:
Dem pickups: AK ME NC OH TX
GOP pickups: (None)

Looks like we didn't make it again, partly as a continuation of yesterday's issues and partly due to a loss of electrical power due to freak accident that can't be fixed until Monday. However Monday is (V)'s day, and all is well in the land of windmills and tulips, so there will definitely be a posting Monday.

Today's Senate Polls

Maybe the Democrats are getting unified in Michigan and coming together behind Abdul El-Sayed, despite misgivings some people have about him.

State Democrat D % Republican R % Start End Pollster
Michigan Abdul El-Sayed 47% Mike Rogers 43% Aug 22 Aug 28 EPIC-MRA

* Denotes incumbent

Here is the polling for the Michigan Senate race all year.

State Abdul El-Sayed Mike Rogers Start End Pollster

MI 46% 39% Aug 11 Aug 17 Susquehanna
MI 48% 47% Aug 09 Aug 11 Fabrizio + Anzalone
MI 47% 51% Aug 08 Aug 10 Beacon + Shaw
Democratic primary was Aug. 4.
MI 43% 46% Jul 24 Jul 31 EPIC-MRA
MI 39% 49% Jul 22 Jul 24 Glengariff Group
MI 40% 45% Apr 28 May 01 Glengariff Group
MI 43% 43% Jan 24 Jan 25 Emerson Coll.
MI 43% 43% Jan 02 Jan 06 Glengariff Group

A quick visual inspection at least hints at the possibility that things have gotten better for El-Sayed since the primary. All the polls above (even the pre-primary ones) were head-to-head El-Sayed vs. Rogers. If you like your information in graphical form, here are the poll graphs for all the states, including Michigan.

As an aside, in Arabic, "El-Sayed" means "the leader" or "the chief." (V)
