The year 2022 was full of political news. According to NPR,

- Congress was actually productive
- Russia invaded Ukraine

- Hurricane Ian and other weather-related events
- The mass shootings in Uvalde and Buffalo led to gun legislation
Honorable mentions went to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) stepping down and her husband being attacked.
Also, Justice Brett Kavanaugh was targeted, which led to increased security for justices. (V)
